Jack Taylor Cycles - Models


These are the base model descriptions from catalogues and price lists - admittedly incomplete right now, but should be filled in during the next few weeks. Variations on these were available, of course - there are lugless Tour of Britain frames etc etc - but if you ordered a stock model with no custom features, this is what you would get. Brake mounts are for centerpull/caliper brakes unless noted.

Camper trailer

single-wheel suspended trailer, in the pattern of those made by French constructeur Goeland (even to the point of using the same Rebour illustration!). Dropouts on the hitch stays may be either track type, Nervex, or cut down Nervex.

Racing Trike

Rann trailerbike child's tow-behind bike, rack-type hitch mount over the rear wheel. Details of this design can be seen on #8513

A second type of the Rann may exist, based on the hitch style used for the Camper trailer, but this is not confirmed.

Other designs not listed in Taylor literature

This does not, of course, include the vast numbers of bicycle designs built as one-off customs. "Models" are only listed here if they were made more than a few times - ie enough to acquire a name of their own. Front-wheel steer tricycles, rough-stuff bikes in all manner of configurations and other bikes are known to have existed.
