Original condition 1980 Jack Taylor Tourist bicycle; serial # 7662. Frame measurements are 24" center-top (60cm c-c) for the seat tube, top tube 23" (58.5cm) center-center. Jack Taylors were the British version of Rene Herse and Alex Singer touring bicycles, bespoke frames with custom racks. The racks on this example carry the same serial number as the frame. Built for 27" wheels, the Weinmann Concave rims are built on Phil hubs with Campy skewers; the wheels turn true with no hops. Campagnolo crankset, seatpost, headset, Brooks Professional saddle, Cinelli old logo stem, Cinelli new logo bars. Mafac canti brakes, Phil CHP pedals, Huret Duopar(Ecopar?) non-Ti version rear derailleur, Campy front. Beautiful stainless steel fenders. This bike is in excellent condition, no dings or dents anywhere. There are several scratches on the non drive side chainstay, paint and boxlining are in exceptionally good condition.
