1962 Jack Taylor Road Path Cycle. I have a letter of providence for the frame from the previous owner and pictures of the frame in it's original colours with Norman re-tracking the frame. The frame number is 4371 and was completed on the 18/10/62 this information hasÊwas confirmed by Norman Taylor 3 years ago. Re-finished by Skills of Nottingham following visit to Norman Taylor. Frame: 22" Reynolds 531 DB throughout with Prugnat lugs and shot in seat stays. Chainset: Stronglight cottered cranks (re-chromed) with TA adaptor with early domed nuts , TA ring 49tooth x 3/32 ring (NOS). Bayliss Wiley Featherweight bb cups and lock ring (NOS), TDC single bb axle (NOS). Pedals: Campagnolo period track pedal, later style Christophe t/clips andÊAlfredo Binda (NOS) straps. Bars & Stem: GB Ventoux bars and GB Continental, Weinmann 500 shallow stirrup frontÊ brake with the addition of a honking lever. Saddle: Brooks B17 Professional saddle (large copper rivets) with period Campgnolo seat post, fitted with Campione Q/R saddle bag fitment. The bike comes with a Carradice Nelson L/flap saddle bag (owned by me from new 1962) and period Brooks (NOS) bag support. Ever Ready rear lamp (NOS). Mud Gaurds: Bantel "Star"Êplastic fitted with the correct Campagnolo bolts. Wheels: Maillard L/flange double fixed S/S spokes Rigida 27x11/4 rims Continental tyres hand built by Mercians of Derby.
