Offered is this 1953 Jack Taylor Tour of Britain. It is French blue with gold double box and lug lines. Beautifully finished by Bob Jackson Cycles. The frame is Reynolds 531 double butted with Oscar Egg lugs (similar to Nervex Professional I believe). Since the restoration it has been ridden for approx 5 miles and has been displayed in about half a dozen shows. There are 10 Cyclo Benelux gears with a down tube lever front changer. The frame is 21.5 inches centre to top seat tube and 22 inches centre to centre top tube. It has the following components: Brooks Professional saddle, Alloy seat pin, GB Coureur hiduminium brakes, GB spearpoint alloy stem with engraved south of France style alloy bars, TDC bottom bracket, Brooks professional toe clips with Alfreda Binda leather straps, the wheels have the early type Campagnolo quick release hubs with alloy small flanges and chrome steel barrels, built with 15/17 butted spokes onto Weinmann Alloy 27 x 1.25 inches rims and fitted with Michelin world tour 27 x 1.127 inch tyres. The pedals are I believe Brampton racing quill type. The chainset is the restored original with 51/46 rings.
