definitions of French part names:

"adapteur" plates designed to bolt "randonneur", "criterium" or 80mm bcd inner chainwheels to "pro 5 vis" crankarms without a 50mm bcd outer chainwheel, or "criterium" chainwheels to "pro 3 attaches" crankarms. in the most common "criterium" pattern, allows quick changes of chainwheels without removing the pedal - especially important for track racers.
"colliers porte-bidon" straps (or collars) for mounting either bottle cages to frames without braze-ons, or handlebar bottle cages to handlebars.
"course legere" outer chainwheels and chainwheel sets drilled for mounting on "pro 5 vis" crankarms as well as for 152mm bcd chainwheels. T.A.'s light racing pattern - uses the lighter "criterium" inner chainwheels.
"criterium" 152mm bcd chainwheels for mounting as inners on "course legere" or "professionnel" outer chainwheels, or on "adapteur" plates. lighter weight than the same size inner chainwheel in the "cyclotouriste" pattern. smallest possible chainwheel is 43t. also refers to the first, cottered/cotterless T.A. cranks (ref:1500), and to 50cl water bottles and cages (ref:197/216).
"cyclotouriste" outer chainwheels and chainwheel sets drilled for mounting on "pro 5 vis" crankarms as well as for 80mm bcd inner chainwheels. designed for touring cyclists and general use. smallest possible chainwheel (80mm bcd) is 26t. chainwheel sets were available in single, double, triple and even quadruple(!) configurations.
"cyclosportive" outer chainwheels and chainwheel sets drilled for mounting on "pro 5 vis" crankarms as well as for "randonneur" and "criterium" chainwheels.
"isol" T.A. insulated water bottles and bottle covers.
"jeux de grain" allen bolt "cotter" for "criterium" cranks.
"junior" scaled-down (35cl) version of the "criterium" (50cl) water bottle.
"le guidgaine" a set of two small clamps connected by a spring designed to keep brake housing in alignment and out of the way above the handlebars.
"plum" special light alloy version of the ref:215 water bottle cage.
"pro 5 vis" 50mm bcd, 5 bolt crankarms; commonly referred to as "cyclotouriste"; also refers to outer single chainrings (undrilled for other patterns).
"pro 3 attaches" 3-arm, 116mm bcd crankarms; sometimes known as "professional".
"professionnel" outer and inner chainwheels drilled for mounting on "pro 3 attaches" crankarms. also refers to 60cl water bottles (ref:200) and steel headsets (ref:1600)
"randonneur" outer chainwheels and chainwheel sets drilled for mounting on "pro 5 vis" crankarms as well as for 116mm bcd inner chainwheels; also 116mm bcd inner chainwheels. a pattern aimed at the French "randonneur" - or long-distance cycle tourer. smallest possible chainwheel is 36t. also refers to ta aluminum water bottles and their cages (ref:218/220/222).
"rattrap' chaine" twin extended bolts designed to replace the chainwheel attachment bolts on either side of the crankarm on double and triple chainwheel sets and prevent the chain from falling between the chainwheels and crankarm.
