From the ebay listing for this bike:
Offered for sale is a 1948 Caminargent 24in (centre to top) bicycle for restoration. Top tube length is 23 1/2in centre to centre. Caminargent were an early pioneer in aluminium frame bicycles starting about 1936. This one is thought to date from 1948. They uniquely feature octagonal tubing clamped into beautiful cast lugs. Most of the bolts feature Caminargents trademark. This particular example needs extensive restoration work - the front forks are bent and there is a crack emanating from what is thought to be a mounting hole for a chainwheel guard near the bottom of the seat tube. The saddle and bars are not thought to be original and the dynamo and front light are missing. A Stronglight 49D chainset is fitted (these were specced as standard on Caminargents) but both pedal threads are damaged - they might well retap successfully to British threads. The wheels are 650B with Rigida steel rims - I am not sure whether these are original or not. The Simplex 3-speed Tour de France derailleur is probably original and the Lam semiballoon brakes are definitely correct thought one lever has been replaced. The handlebar stem is the correct Caminargent made one.
